Installation of  ClamWUG gets errors.

Same thing after windows updates, maybe more.

Try
at the command line and see where it gets to.
Pops up different msdos box and gets unhandled exception.

How do I grant permissions so that this installation will succeed?
Do I have to make StrongNames for my code?
 

Try creating folder "C:\Program Files\ClamWin" then re-run installation.
Same problem. Create Logs, Version; same problem. I need a better Vista research methodology.

Sean had the same problem on a client computer today; it seems to be Vista Service Pack 2.

Run as Administrator seems to get it installed.

Run again, it fails again. Bug fixed where scan has not been run, scan file does not exist and scan file rollover fails.

Fixes:

  1. Run as Administrator to install.
  2. Enable the Administrator user if not already done.
  3. Schedule ClamWUG and ClamScan to run as Administrator and "Run with highest privileges".
  4. Create identifiable username for ClamWUG email then schedule as that user. Set Full permissions for that user in Logs folder.
  5. Logs in 
    1. C:\Program Files\Clamwin\Logs
    2. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\clamwin\log
    3. C:\.clamwin\log
      And I think there should be some consolidation of these folders and corrections to the installation and execution process.
